Tour de Tickle

It's confirmed. Pete and I are off to the Tour de France this year. Lance has confirmed that he'll be riding for his 7th straight win. I'll be aiming to manage a few stages from the Pyrenees down into Paris for the finish.

For now, though, it's only just stressed how much I need to start training!

More Courchevel Photos

Luke managed to wrangle access to a slide scanner and shot through a bunch more photos from the trip to Courchevel. Here's just how spectacular the place looked on our first day skiing.

Credits to Luke for the piccies.

How cool is that! Hang-gliding from the Alps!

Glencoe and Munro Number One

Last weekend the extended hump-day gang headed up to Glencoe for a weekend in the highlands. Between the vodkas, the dodgy local beers and the Alcatraz-like hostel, I somehow managed to bag my first Munro.

Twas a great weekend, marred only by having to get out of bed on Monday morning!

Ben Vorloch

Luke and I got out of the city to clear our heads after the housewarming party and had a chop at Ben Vorloch. The weather, while great down low, sucked up high and we had to turn around before we made it to the summit.

Still, it was an awesome day when the sun was out.

A little bit of snow.

Say 'Hi', Luke.

The weather's not looking too good up here.

But when the sun's out, it's not bad at all.

Housewarming Shenanigans

After managing to go a good 18 months and 2 flats in Canberra with no housewarming party, Karen and I pulled off a housewarming party practically a month after moving in to our place in Glasgow.

It started small, got a little crazy and ended with drum lessons at 4 in the morning.

Oh, and the last guest didn't leave until noon or so the next day.

All smiles.

Mmmm, sweet, sweet whisky.

Ah, what a happy couple.

The Lakes District

Kaz and I shot down to the Lakes District on the weekend for a classic 'mini-break'. Here's a couple of photos from the trip.

On the road again... in a manual.

Valleys, clouds, stone walls. This is England.
