When iPods Go Bad (And Then Good Again!)

Some mindless work ahead of me prompted me to pop my headphones in the other day and spin the click-wheel to some Snow Patrol. It was only then that I realised things weren't all well in the land of iPod.

With no joy from the obvious troubleshooting tricks, I was all set to justify some retail therapy and get myself a shiny new 60 GB toy. Just in case, though, I figured I'd Google just a little bit more in case any out of the ordinary solutions popped up. Most of the posts were dead ends, but a couple of users reported that a swift kick (or hit, or drop) managed to right the wrongs. With nothing left to do, I gave my trusty friend a hefty knock and guess what?

I can now happily listen to Snow Patrol (and all my other music for that matter). Good as new!
